Andrea:
Yes, that’s a good idea.
Mentor:
Have you asked your learners what they think
 
about this part of your lessons?
Andrea:
No. I hadn’t thought of asking them. I could do
 
that as well.
Mentor:
What is it that you do in that part of lesson?
Andrea:
I ask my students to summarise the main points
 
of the lesson.
Mentor:
How do you do that?
Andrea:
I ask them what they learned that day, but
 
maybe that’s not working.
Mentor:
Are you fully aware of what you do? Could you
 
make a list of what you do?
Andrea:
Well, it happens really fast.
Mentor:
Would it help to look in more detail at what
 
you do?
Andrea:
Yes, of course. There are things that I may do
 
that I don’t notice.
Mentor:
From this puzzle that you have about wrapping- 
 
up, then, what are the things you need to get
 
more information about, then?
Andrea:
I think I need to find out what an effective
 
ending of lessons would ideally look like. I also
 
need to know what actually happens when I
 
finish my lessons. And I think I should find out
 
more about what the students think about this
 
part of our lessons.
