Sir Thomas More and “Utopia”

Conclusion
To conclude, I have evaluated lots of materials about Sir Thomas More, his biography, life, career, his literary foundation and his masterpiece “Utopia”. The task was not easy but interesting. The reason behind that is while searching the needed information I have faced with tons of problems with handling the materials. As I have known Sir Thomas More was a lawyer, humanist and statesman born in England in 1478, who later made a name for himself in the book "Utopia". He lived and died during the Tudor dynasty, which ruled from 1485 to 1603, and from the year of his birth included the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. in 1517, at the age of 39, he entered the service of the king, soon his career shone so much that he became the personal adviser to the king and even began to write official documents and accept messengers. But More is not dissatisfied either with the performance of state duties at such a high level, or with the fact that he spends so much time in the palace. He did everything he could to get out of the palace. So much so that many refused to live in the palace."Sir Thomas More, Lord Chancellor of Henry VIII and Catholic martyr, came to Chelsea in 1520 and built a house, which was later known as Beaufort House. During the epidemic, two courtyards were broken up between the house and the river, and hectares of gardens and vegetable gardens were broken up to the north of the plot. From here, More was taken to the tower in 1535 and beheaded later that same year. The Beaufort House was demolished in 1740, and in 1766 Beaufort Street was built on part of this place."Although he was a writer and thinker who was ahead of his time, he was a religious person before them. He challenged the king because he believed that King Henry VIII had challenged God and the laws of the Holy Church, and because of what he believed in, he was dragged to death at a young age.

Although he went down in history as a pious statesman who was dragged to his death, Thomas More's book "Utopia", translated into English only 16 years after his death, makes him live without forgetting.

Utopia is the story of an island designed by More, a man dedicated to the problems of the country and trying to work smoothly. Cities, administration, system, rules, religions of the island were described in detail, the alphabet, the map of the island of Utopia, as well as poems and letters from the island were made more realistic, the author designed the world he created in his head with examples of the incarnation.
Thomas was not only the founder of the school of utopian socialism, but also the founder of its democratic orientation and understood socialism not only as a rational organization of society, but also as a means of resolving social contradictions, eliminating social inequalities and exploitation. Thomas, a Democrat, in the sense that he built a utopian political system on the principles of freedom, equality and respect for the human personality.
In this way. Thomas made a great contribution to the history of socialism. The utopian works of Thomas and another great philosopher and humanist, Tommaso Campanella (1568-1839), served as a source for the socio-political ideas of the utopian socialists of the 19th century, A. St. Simon, R. Owen and other representatives of socialist thought.
The given topic was interesting to discover and evaluate, so as the result I had a chance to dig into the ocean of data, was informed with new materials and looked to the history itself.
