Martyr - a person who suffers very much or is killed because of their political or religious beliefs, and is often admired because of it Betray - to not be loyal to your country or a person, often by doing something harmful such as helping their enemies Priest - a person, usually a man, who has been trained to perform religious duties in the Christian Church, especially the Roman Catholic Church, or a person with particular duties in some other religions. Embody - to represent a quality or an idea exactly Execution - when someone is killed as a legal punishment Novel - a long printed story about imaginary characters and events Tyranny - government by a ruler or small group of people who have unlimited power over the people in their country or state and use it unfairly and cruelly Capricious - changing mood or behavior suddenly and unexpectedly Apocryphal - describes a story that is probably not true although often told and believed by some people to have happened Lavish - more than enough, especially if expensive; very generous Prerogative - something which some people are able or allowed to do or have, but which is not possible or allowed for everyone. Pestilence - formal any very serious infectious disease that spreads quickly and kills large numbers of people Eloquent - giving a clear, strong message. Reconcile - to find a way in which two situations or beliefs that are opposed to each other can agree and exist together. Zeal - great enthusiasm or eagerness.
