INTRODUCTION (Abstract of PhD dissertation)
The aim of the research work is to reveal the history of repressions against women in Uzbekistan in the 20-50s of the twentieth century..
The object of research work is the policy of the Soviet government towards women in Uzbekistan in the 1920-1950s of the XX century and the history of their repressions..
The scientific novelty of the research work is:
It is revealed that, although from the first years of Soviet power the slogan of "liberation" and "equal rights of women with men" was announced and significant changes were introduced, in practice their inequality still persisted, as a result of a policy not aimed at shaping their political and legal consciousness , representatives of the local nation were not given the opportunity to awaken national consciousness and fight for independence;
it is proved that on the basis of the order of the NKVD (The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs) of the USSR of August 15, 1937 No. 00486 "On measures aimed at repression against women and children of traitors to the Motherland" in 1938-1939 from the former USSR they were sent to camps as "members of the family of traitors to the Motherland" about 18,000 women and young children and their tragic fate has led to grave consequences in society;
It is highlighted that in 1937, false accusations were made against educated women, such as counter-nationalist activities, close ties with counter-revolutionary nationalists and counter-revolutionary propaganda, espionage, and most of the imprisoned women were removed from public affairs on these false charges and were forced to go to internal and external link;
substantiated that the majority of women prosecuted under articles 60 and 67 of the Criminal Code of the UZSSR for concealing the "counter-revolutionary" activities of their husband from the Soviet authorities were highly educated, had high scientific potential, employees of leading research institutes, as a result, this led to to the reduction of local female personnel in this area.
