3.2-§. Differences and similarities of gender in English and Uzbek paremias
The different aspects of the two different cultures are similar and it is natural to have more than unsimilar sides.
1. In most proverbs in Uzbek language, the opposition is masculinity - femininity are used together and correspond to the concepts of right - wrong
Namely, if the work done by the husband is called "A" and the work done by the wife is called "B", A and B are actions that oppose and deny each other, A
is correct and B is incorrect. For example:
Er topuvchan bo’lsa, Xotin taquvchan bo’lar.
Eri eshikdan chiqsa, Xotin teshikdan chiqar.
Ug’ling boqsin, kelining sog’sin.
2. Analysis of the social status of women and men. The semantic field of "kinship" plays an important role during behavior was observed. This area is very widely covered in Uzbek, it is represented only by its closest relatives in English.
3. In English the husband and wife's parents (father in law, mother in law) descriptive paremiological units were not found.
Thereforewe were not able to describe them during our study. Tell meIt is worth noting that the image of "father-in-law" in the Uzbek language is positive, which is allowing a man to interfere in the affairs of women as a social statusindicates that it will not burn.
4. The experience of motherhood is, without a doubt, the spiritual image of femininity plays a decisive role in its creation and formation. In Uzbek reflecting the mother's sacrifice for the child and the consequences for her There are provocative phraseologies, but such examples in English we did not meet. For example:
Ona bilan bola gul bilan lola;
Onang o’ldi otang o’ldi;
Farzand boqqan ota, jonni qoqqan ona;
Onali yetim gul yetim, Otali yetim shum yetim.
5. Paremiological units with father and mother component in English relative to other gender component paremilogical units despite the fact that most of them are in place of metaphorization used. For example: the Father of Rivers – “daryolar otasi” (Missisipi daryosi); Experience is the father of wisdom – tajriba aqlning otasi; the Mother of Parliaments – “parlamentarizm vatani” (Angliya).
6. In Uzbek proverbs what a husband looks like depends on his wife interpreted as: Erni er qiluvchi ham qaro yer qiluvchi ham xotin;
Хotin yaxhi bo’lsa er ham yaxshi.
The opposite situation was observed in English That is, whether a woman is good or bad in the family depends on her husband:
A good husband makes a good wife (yaxshi erning xotini ham yaxhsi bo’ladi);
А good Jack makes a good Jill (Jek yaxshi bo’lsa,Jil ham yaxshi bo’ladi.
From similar proverbs: Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion - Sezarning
xotini shubxa kilishga arzimaydi.
So the wife's fidelity also depends on the husband. However, in Uzbek paremiological dictionaries you can find proverbs that allow you to give up androcentrism:
Xotin chiroyi erdan, hosil chiroyi yerdan;
Chavandoz otini, yaxshi er xotinini qaritmaydi.
English men prefer their wives to the women of their grandchildren as long as they know it's the best.
For example:
There is one good wife in the country, and everyone thinks he has her.
If there is only one good wife in the city, all men refer to their wives.
In Uzbek we did not face like proverb. On the contrary, it is a proverb that expresses the opposite meaning: Chala tentak otini maqtar, Toza tentak – xotinini.
7. A bilingual analysis of the parent couple showed that the mother's role in the child's upbringing was more important than the father's. Also, loved ones are directly or indirectly “mother”associated with
Mother’s mark тугма белги; Mother’s tongue – ona tili ; just like mother
makes it - ko’ngildagidek bo’lmoq , aynan didiga yoqmoq.
In Uzbek: Ona tilim dono tilim; Ona yerning tuprog’i ona sutidan aziz;
Ona yurting oltin beshiging
8. The father is a person who has great respect and prestige in the family. That's it one of the conditional manifestations of gender. The father with the son and the mother with the daughter words and proverbs about them because they are more together it is important to apply.
For example:
Like father, like son o’g’il otaga o’xshar;
Like mother, like daughter qiz onasiga o’xshar;
Many good fathers make but a bad son yaxshi otaning o’g’li yomon bo’ladi;
Yelka yag’ri otaga meros, Ota yag’ri o’g’liga merosс;
O’g’il otasiga o’xshamasa qoni harom;
Qizni onasi tiysin, o’gilni otasi.
9. The circumstances in which a wife can be punished are bilingual observed.
For example:
A woman, a dog, and a walnut tree, the more you beat them the better they be ayol, it va yong’oqni qanchalik ko’p ursang,shunchalik yaxshi bo’ladi; Qudali xotin quyruq yer, Erli xotin kaltak.
10. A woman's alertness is one of her negative qualities.
Silence is a woman's best garment sukunat ayolning eng qimmatbaxo bezagi;
Elakka brogan ayolning ellik gapi bor.
