INTRODUCTION (abstract of doctoral (DSc) dissertation) 
Topicality and relevance of the theme of the dissertation. In the world 
linguistics, such components of the spiritual heritage of humanity as studying the 
language of literary works, conducting the linguo-statistical analysis of lexical 
units in them, classifying and describing their thematic groups and historical-
etymological layers, identifying their lexical-semantic, linguistic, artistic and 
linguacultural features, as well as on their basis assessing the writers role in the 
development of own language, revealing the general characteristic and 
developmental norms of a specific period of each literary language, compiling new 
lexicographical dictionaries and enhancing the existing ones are one of the most 
pressing issues. 
It is worthwhile to note that nowadays the attention paid by the world 
scientists to the study of the socio-political activity, scientific and literary heritage 
of the Turkistan Jadids is also very significant. It is well-known that there are 
many issues related to the life and work of Jadids that are waiting for their 
solutions. Social period and consciousness development require acknowledging the 
services of such representatives of Jadid literature as Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulhamid 
Chulpan, Muhammadsharif Sufizada, Karimbek Kami, Siddiki-Ajzi, Sirojiddin 
Sidki, Abdulhhamid Majidi, Iskhakhan Ibrat, Elbek and Botu in the enrichment 
and renewal of the vocabulary of the Uzbek literary language, assessing their 
historical role in the development of the Uzbek literary language, and studying the 
linguistic features of their literary works on the basis of modern principles, 
standards and scientific and methodological viewpoints. It is essential to find a 
scientific solution to these problems, come up with specific scientific and 
theoretical conclusions and inform the world community about it. 
Since the first days of the independence of our country, socio-political and 
literary-scientific activities of Turkistan Jadid movement, who contributed much in 
the development of spirituality and world culture, have been under wide research 
in order to create new interpretation of their literary works. During this period 
significant work has been done in this area. The Uzbek of the beginning of the 20th 
century was called the «Uzbek Literature of the Renaissance» or «Jadid Literature» 
based on the essence and content of the Uzbek literature, and in a relatively short 
period of time a number of works of these literary men were widely presented to 
the public, and republican and international scientific and theoretical conferences 
on their life and work were organized. Republican Scientific and Practical 
Conference on Fitrat’s life and creativity called «Independence and Fitrat», which 
was held in 2015-2017 in Bukhara State University, can be pointed out as an 
example

. The State Prize named after Alisher Navoi was given to Abdulla Qadyri, 
Abdurauf Fitrat and Chulpan. In order to eternalize their names, there has been 
done a lot of work such as opening the monument of Is’hakkhon Ibrat in 
Namangan. In the years of independence, comprehensive and thorough study of the

rich scientific and literary heritage of Jadids became one of the most important 
issues. 
This research to a certain extent serves for the implementation of the tasks set 
out in the Decree PD-4797 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On the 
establishment of Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature 
named after Alisher Navoi» of 13 May 2016, Decree PD-4947 «On the Strategy of 
Actions for Further Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan» of 5 February 
2017, Resolution PR-2789 «On Measures to Further Improve the Organization, 
Management and Financing of Activities of the Academy of Sciences and 
Scientific Researches» of 17 February 2017, Resolution PR-2995 «On Measures to 
Further Improve the System of Preservation, Research and Promotion of Ancient 
Manuscripts» of 24 May 2017 and in other normative and legal acts concerning 
this sphere.
