The subject of the research comprises of the lexis of the poetic works by
Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulla Avlani, Abdulhamid Chulpan, Muhammadsharif
Sufizada, Karimbek Kami, Siddiki-Ajzi, Sirojiddin Sidki, Abdulhamid Majidi,
Is’hokkhon Ibrat, Elbek and Botu.
The methods of the research. Desciption, classification, component
analysis, functional and semantical, comparative and historical, historical and
genetical, statistical and linguopoetical methods were used in the research.
The scientific novelty of the research consists of the following:
The degree of usage of native and borrowed words in the lexis of Jadid
poetry, their genetic basis, mutual ratio, activeness, quantity‚ thematic groups, the
words characteristic to ancient Turkic language, Turkish and Azerbaijani
languages have been defined and their lexical, semantical and functional
peculiarities have been revealed;
By comparing the lexis of Jadid works with the ancient and old Turkic
languages and old Uzbek language, it was substantiated that the lexical
composition of the Uzbek literary language was renewed, and it was proven that
the general Turkish layer enriched both in terms of size and quality;
The reasons and sources of the use of ancient Turkic words in the language of
the poetry of the members of «Chigatoy Gurungi» were identified;
It has been revealed that the lexis of Jadid works was formed on the basis of
the Turkish language and folk dialects, and new words were brought in the Uzbek
literary language for new scientific and cultural concepts;
The structural-semantic and poetic-aesthetic nature as well as linguopoetic
possibilities and features of metaphor, metonymy and synecdoche have been
illuminated;
It has been proved that metaphors representing concepts such as freedom,
homeland and enlightenment that are directly linked to the nation’s fate were
formed as a separate system.
