CONCLUSIONS
Studying Jadid poetry, the following conclusions have been made: 1. By analysing the lexis of Jadid literary works it became obvious that the literary language at the beginning of the 20th century was rich in different peculiarities; the language of that period formed a certain stage; Jadid ideology was expressed in the literary language; lexical norms were systematically developed at that period; there appeared basic changes in the language aesthetics, and live language turned into literary language. The changes in lexical norms were due to the socio-economic life, political system, and governing ideology, especially, the in scientific and religious thoughts. A new Uzbek literary language was created under the old Uzbek literary language. The literary language became close to a live language, it was democratized and was enriched with words connected with social, political, economic, cultural life, industry and science. Literary language, especially, changes and reforms in the sphere of literary language and lexicology affected considerably the cultural life of the Uzbek nation. 2. The lexis of Jadid poetry comprised mainly general Turkic word units. Such words were mainly the words denoting things, place, people and animal body parts, words denoting actions and movement, which are still in use in modern Uzbek language. The members of «Chigatoy Gurungi» served greatly for setting up socio-political position and value of the Uzbek language. In the content of the words used by the members of «Chigatoy Gurungi», there were much more Turkish lexical units than the poets who were not in this organization. This shows that they fully followed the ideology of the language purification. 3. The quantity of borrowed Arabic words in Jadid poetry is different according to its poetic system. The number of such words in the poems written in aruz measure are more than the poems composed in finger measure. The most borrowed Arabic words in Jadid poetry were the words denoting religion, moral, abstract concepts and the quality. Especially, the words denoting spiritual and 59 educational concepts lead the list. Almost all the Arabic words used in Jadid poetry were in great use in old Uzbek literary language. This indicates that the usage of Arabic words has historical basis and is still in usage. 4. During the process of historical development, there did not appear a great change in the phonetic, lexical structures of Persian adopted words. Most Persian words used in the works of the representatives of «Chigatoy Gurungi» are still in use in modern Uzbek literary language as well as people’s everyday speech. One Download 0.73 Mb.
