The object of the study as the object of the study, 553 patients with glaucoma under the 
supervision of the eye diseases clinic of the Andijan State Medical Institute and 176 representative 
residents of three Fergana Valley regions over the age of 90 were taken. 
Scientific novelty of the research consists of the following: 
modern epidemiological features of glaucoma were identified among the geront population, 
and a new effective preventive program was developed on their basis;
for the first time in the geront population, the prevalence levels of glaucoma were determined, 
the necessary basic bases for the appropriate prevention of specific secretions were evaluated and 
determined;
the 5-year dynamics of changes in clinical and epidemiological indicators of glaucoma in the 
geront population has been studied, and new features characteristic of the valley have been proved; 
for the first time, it was established and proved that the pandemic of non-communicable 
chronic diseases (CNID) affects the formation and clinical course of glaucoma; 
for the first time, the prevalence of social, ethnic, epidemiological, systemic and local risk 
factors for glaucoma among the elderly population was identified and proved;

complications have been identified and proven; 
in the geront population, the origin and risk of glaucoma outbreaks were identified and 
confirmed depending on risk factors; 
for the first time, important modern features of the clinical course of glaucoma in the geront 
population for preventive activities have been identified and proven; 
for the first time, the influence of concomitant background as a strong pathogenic factor on 
the spread, origin and course of glaucoma was identified and evaluated in the geront population; 
For the first time in the Geront population, an alternative screening, prevention and monitoring 
system was developed. glaucoma with epidemiological studies.
for the first time in the age population and the geront population, a new screening program 
and algorithm have been developed that make it possible to detect glaucoma at an early stage and 
slow down its outbreaks.
