AUTHOR PROFILE
Majid Ebrahimzadeh
Born in Iran in 1962, Majid Ebrahimzadeh studied at the University of St Andrews,
where he received his PhD in 1989. He was the recipient of a Royal Society Research
Fellowship in 1993 and was appointed Reader at St Andrews in 1997. He was awarded
the Instituci´
o Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avan¸cats (ICREA) Research Fellowship
and appointed Professor at the Institut de Ciencies Fotoniques (ICFO), Barcelona,
Spain in 2003. Majid has contributed to the advancement of optical parametric
sources in all time-scales and has published over 210 journal and proceedings papers,
including eight major book chapters and reviews. He has served as technical pro-
gram committee chair, regular short-course instructor and member of the organizing
committees of several major international conferences, and has been a Guest Editor
of the Journal of the Optical Society of America (series B) and an Advisory Editor
of Optics Letters. He currently serves as Topical Editor of Optics Letters.
