Mathematical and software are a set of mathematical methods, models, algorithms and programs aimed at achieving goals and solving problems, as well as the normal functioning of a complex of technical means [26;258- p. ].
The software tools include:
- process modeling tools;
- typical problems (boundary conditions - initial and boundary);
- methods of mathematical programming, mathematical statistics, queuing theory, etc.
The software tools (SW) include:
- system-wide software - a cycle of programs for users when solving typical problems of information processing ( OS Windows , MS E with xel , Office , etc.). Contribute to the expansion of the functionality of computers, strengthening control and management of the data processing process;
- special software - a cycle of programs for a specific information system. It includes application software packages for the implementation of the created models, different in adequacy and reflecting the functioning of a real object.
It should be noted that before GIS was used in the collection, verification, integration and analysis of information involving many operations in order to systematize geodata. For certain operations, it was necessary to resort to computational computer methods for analyzing maps, in other cases, GIS was the main one as a tool for analyzing information. [84;48 -s ].
In this system, mainly works were carried out aimed at the transformation of multiple types of spatial hydrogeological data (from the isolines of a topographic map to a GIS elevation model); storage and selection of data from spatial, updating, editing. In addition, it was planned to manipulate data, analyze them, perform various tasks on their basis, subdivide hydrological and geographical data into groups; parameters, restrictions and modeling functions were set by means of an output displaying the entire database or part of it in tabular, diagrammatic or cartographic form. The latter includes different coordinate systems of projections, character sets, simplification and generalization methods.
A wide arsenal of sources in the form of aerial photography, digital remote sensing, geological exploration and hydrogeological studies, geodetic publications, verbal descriptions and sketches, statistical information, etc. serves as initial information. Computers and other electronic devices, in particular, a digitizer or scanner, were of great help . with the help of which the initial data for fixation, information on water conductivity, filtration coefficient, aquifer thickness, etc. were prepared, or coding of points, lines and polygon areas for further use. Valuable sources were the current digital maps, elevation models, orthophotos, etc. [26;258- p. ].
An analysis of the hydrogeological conditions of an urbanized area based on the use of modern GIS technologies shows the following. The use of geoinformation technologies not only significantly increases the efficiency of assessing the conditions of an urban area, but also provides an opportunity for an integrated approach to interpreting the results of various studies transmitted as separate coverages (layers) of an electronic map. Electronic hydrogeological maps can be used to enter and display additional information, assess the level of technogenic pressure, develop environmental measures in specific areas of urban areas.
