CHAPTER II . THE MAIN FACTORS FOR THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE HYDROGEOLOGICAL-MELIORATIVE STATE

§2.1. Geological and hydrogeological conditions of the Karshi steppe before development

Based on the analysis, the geological and geomorphological structure, hydrogeological and engineering-geological conditions of the territory were characterized as follows:
Geological and geomorphological structure
The entire study area, with the exception of the Alyaudinskaya group of anticlines and Maimanaktau, is covered with Quaternary deposits. Based on the ratios of genetic lithological types of rocks, all Quaternary deposits are divided into eight main genetic groups: lacustrine-chemical, alluvial, alluvial-proluvial, deluvial-proluvial, eluvial-deluvial, eluvial and eolian.
Quaternary deposits of the study area are divided into the following age complexes: Amudarya (Q4 ad ), Sukaita (Q3 sk ), Shorkuduk (Q2 sh ), Karnab (Q 2 kr ), undivided Karnab and Shorsuu (Q 2 kr+Sh ), Azkamar (Qi ak ).
Based on the analysis of the tectonic features of the territory and the relationship of various genetically homogeneous surfaces and correlation deposits, the following genetic categories of relief were identified:
A. Structural-denudation;
B. Denudation-accumulative;
B. Accumulative-deltaic;
D. Aeolian deflationary-accumulative
