COMMONALITY OF KOREAN AND UZBEK FOLK TALES

Abstract: In the article, the oral epic genre of the Uzbek and Korean peoples is
comparatively studied on the basis of fairy tales, and through the views of the Korean and
Uzbek nations, the interdependence and similarity of social images between the two nations
is expressed. The fact that the friendly and artistic views of our peoples have been
connected since time immemorial is expressed through the commonality of the Korean
"About Nolbu and Hinbu" and the Uzbek "Golden Watermelon" fairy tales.

Fairy tale - one of the main genres of folk oral poetic creation is a magical adventure
based on fabric and fiction and an epic artistic work of domestic character [1,52b.]. It is found
in its mature form in M. Koshgari's "Devoni Lughati Turk" written mainly in prose and gives
the meaning of telling an event orally. The tale is called matal among the Uzbeks of
Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and Fergana, ushuk in the districts and villages around
Bukhara, varsaki in Khorezm, chopchak in and around Tashkent. The fairy tale is different
from other genres of folklore with the fact that the reality of life is depicted on the basis of
fantasy and life fiction, it is based on magic and magic tools, the events and actions take
place in wonderful and strange situations, and the supernatural courage of the heroes. There
is almost no information about when the fairy tale appeared. Some sources say that fairy
tales appeared in very ancient times. In fact, fairy tales were created as a product of the
hopes of our ancestors for a bright future, the coming of peace and bright days after various
