Annotation: This article presents the advantages of water-saving irrigation methods 
in the irrigation of corn varieties grown for livestock at the "Zarif Ota" farm in the Bukhara 
district of the Bukhara region.

In the conditions of shortage of irrigation water in our republic, the most important 
and urgent task is to use technologies that save water resources in the cultivation of high-
quality crops from agricultural crops. The President and the government of our country are 
paying great attention to this issue. 
On September 6, 2019, the strategy for the development of agriculture in Uzbekistan 
in 2020-2030 was developed. According to the concept of water management development 
of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2030, the areas where water-saving technologies 
have been introduced are 2 million. ha, including drip irrigation technology for 600,000 ha. 
applied to the area, 35-40% (3.5-4 billion cubic meters) of water is saved per year. This is 
298,000 ha at the expense of water. disused areas can be redeveloped. 
Only about 20% of the volume of water resources needed to meet the needs of the 
country is formed within the country, and the main part is covered by the resources of 
transboundary rivers - Amudarya and Syrdarya. Recently, the water shortage has become
