Renisa Beqiri 3 1 Faculty of Education/University “Aleksandër Moisiu” Durrës, Albania 2 Human Resourse Lector/ University of Mediterranian, Albania 3 Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana ABSTRACT: This study analyzes the problems and challenges that project-based teaching presents in classes where students with special needs are integrated, more specifically the necessity for adapting the curriculum. The analysis of the factors that influence project-based learning will highlight the efficient role that this learning model has for children with special needs. The population studied are 248 USE teachers from Tirana and Peshkopi Districts. TSES was used for the survey of teachers. The quantitative method was used for data collection and processing. The sample was randomly selected. In relation to the analysis of the research questions, frequency results and percentages of descriptive statistics are used. The results provide a contemporary reflection of factor analysis. Based on descriptive statistics percentages and frequency results, the necessary connection that exists between the curriculum and the necessity of its adaptation in inclusive classes is highlighted; project-based learning increases the efficiency of the lesson even for students with special needs. The conclusions in this study highlight the value of project-based measures supported by technology in the classroom, making it even more efficient for students with special needs. Also, this study can serve new teachers who base their teaching on the project-based learning model with students with needs, adapting it to the specific characteristics that these students have.
