Rule 3. Offering a handshake and making eye contact.

Handshakes and eye contact are both worldwide business greeting. A strong and long handshake is still considered as a positive trait, a weak one is negative.

However, in some oriental culture women are allowed not to touch men, or vice versa, thus all the cultural customs should have been learnt before visiting or attending any kinds of business meetings.
Depending the age and position, usually, higher ranking person or older people need to offer their hand first, but if they do not, you can still offer yours. While shaking the hand try to make eye contact and smile. A warm eye contact leads to a good atmosphere and business deal. The people who avert their eyes are considered as unconfident and lacking honesty. Keep smiling and being sincere from the first meeting.
Rule 4. Let your business partner know that you are paying attention to every single word and action.

Try to give a signal, it will make them aware that you are paying attention to them.

You need to smile, listen carefully and be polite
This shows your dedication to the conversation. This shows that you are interested in the person and are passionate about what your business partner says, it means you value thoughts and opinions of others. And do not interrupt them when they are talking. In case you want to add something or speak you should open your mouth, this will be a signal that you would like to say something, but wait until they stop and only after you are allowed to begin your conversation.

Rule 5. Be always punctual and on time.

Whether you’re attending an interview or daily standup meeting, being in a work environment presents that you respect and value others timing. If punctuality isn’t something you’ve prioritized in the past, just try to remember some time management tips to keep yourself well organized and aware of your daily routine list.

There are nuances to being punctual—some cultures operate on a system of being slightly late to events. In case you are in doubt, try to show up on time and adjust from there if necessary. We’re all busy. Being late doesn’t mean that you’re busier than other people; it just shows that you’re inconsiderate and unreliable.
