Caspian public university academic policy

Distance learning technology is technology based on application of technical devices and means of remote access allowing to carry out educational process indirectly in full-time form of training.
Distance education is training which is carried out with the interaction of educator and students at a distance, including using information and communication technologies and telecommunication means.

26.	PhD is degree awarded to persons who have mastered the doctoral program in the scientific and pedagogical field and defended a dissertation in the Republic of Kazakhstan or abroad, recognized in the manner established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
27.	Doctoral programme is postgraduate education, whose educational programs are aimed at training specialists for scientific, pedagogical and (or) professional activity, with the award of a PhD (doctor in profile) with mandatory mastering of at least 180 academic credits.
28.	PhD thesis is a scientific work, which is an independent study where theoretical provisions are developed, the totality of which can be qualified as a new scientific achievement, or a scientific problem is solved, or scientifical technical, economic or technological solutions are presented.
29.	Minor is a combination of disciplines and (or) modules and other types of educational work determined by the student for study in order to form additional competencies.
