8.1 Professional training is a mandatory component of the professional curriculum of higher and postgraduate education.

The main task of the students’ professional training is to consolidate and deepen the theoretical knowledge obtained during the educational process, to acquire practical experience and skills in the specialty studied.
Professional training in CPU is divided into:
- Undergraduate programs - for educational, on-the-job, pedagogical and pre-graduation;
- Master's degree programs - for research and pedagogical (for scientific and pedagogical direction), on-the-job (for specialized direction);
- PhD programs - for research and pedagogical.
8.2 Each type of training has goals, objectives and program. The program is elaborated by the teaching staff, coordinated with enterprises (institutions, organizations) defined as the basis of professional training, and approved by the university rector. In terms of its content, the program reflects the profile of the specialty, the specifics of the training type, the requirements of professional standards and the educational program, the nature of the organization's activities, the technological process and the object of practice.
The program of professional training is periodically updated and reflects the modern achievements of science and technology, innovative technologies used on the basis of practice.

The students shall include the corresponding training in their individual educational plan.
Following the results of each type of professional training students submit a report to the advisor and it is checked by the supervisor and defended before the commission created by the EP Leader’s instruction. The results of the report defence are evaluated according to the point-rating letter rating system and are taken into account when calculating the GPA. The general results of the professional training are summed up at the Educational and Methodological Board of the University.
