INTRODUCTION
Getting to know the culture of a foreign country is always interesting for many people and in many ways useful. After all, a person who travels a lot creates an image of the picture of the world, and if this person was lucky enough to get to know the country not only by traveling around it as a tourist, but also after living for some time, say, in a foster family, we can say that he was just lucky, because he had the opportunity to look at this country from the inside. Unfortunately, such an experience cannot be acquired by being just a tourist, whose tasks are somewhat different – to study the face of the country, i.e. its most beautiful and famous places, to see as many sights as possible in a short time.
We are dependent on our habits and living conditions. Our well-being certainly depends on where we are, who and what surrounds us. When a person finds himself in an unfamiliar environment and finds himself disconnected from his usual environment (whether it's a change of apartment, job or city), his psyche usually suffers shocks. It is clear that if we are talking about moving to another country, we get it all together. The experiences and sensations that a person experiences when changing habitual living conditions to new ones, scientists call a culture shock.
This research topic is relevant, because currently more and more people are traveling abroad (to live, study, work, relax). Some are interested in beaches, others in mountains where you can breathe fresh air and ski, and others in historical and cultural monuments. There is also VIP tourism for the business elite, combining leisure with business events, extreme tourism for thrill seekers, honeymoon tourism for newlyweds and much more.
The object of the study is culture shock. The subject of the study is cultural shock as a phenomenon of intercultural communication in the process of adaptation to a new cultural environment.
