Cultural issues. Cultural issues may arise from different cultural references, such as names of food, festivals, and cultural connotations. The translator will use language localization to adapt accurately the translated text to the targeted culture. Think of a financial translation that includes dates. If the text is written in English, it is most likely, but not absolutely sure, that 05/06/2021 will mean June 5 of 2021. However, as everyone knows, the same sequence in another language refers to May 6 of 2021.
The general and specific aspects of the issues of literary translation from Uzbek literature into English, the possibilities of bringing the translated text closer to the original, the achievements and shortcomings in this field, and their causes were studied. A new approach to methodological tools as a unit of literary text was made, and the general changes in them were classified according to the structure of the text, among other factors. Although the practice of literary translation in Uzbekistan originated and developed in the distant past, theoretical views on its history and peculiarities were formed only in our time and laid the foundation for the science of translation. The founder of the science of translation in our country is G. Salomov, well-known scientists Sh. Sharopov, N.Komilov and with the participation of a number of representatives of the next generation, various problems of literary translation were widely covered. However, the study of the art of translation from other languages, the skill of the translator and the theory of translation did not pay enough attention to the study of translation from Uzbek to English, and even more seriously to the comparative analysis of textual structures of English and Uzbek prose no scientific work has been created. The word chosen for translation depends on which layer (neutral, verbal or literary) it belongs to, whether it is included in the list of active words in the language of translation, the level of activity in compound formation and a number of other factors. Neutral words, which form the basis of vocabulary richness, have their own synonyms and antonyms in other layers. Of these, the translator's use of style and meaning in the appropriate places ensures a high quality of translation. The structure of a special dictionary, which can fully reflect the differences between the layers in ensuring the adequacy (alternative) of translation, serves as an invaluable resource in solving both theoretical and practical issues of translation theory and stylistics. A dictionary that shows and is informed about the stylistic differences of words allows us to clarify not only the theory of translation, but also most of the issues of translation editing. In the future, scientific research in this area will play an important role in solving current problems of translation theory. Gaybulla Salomov, one of the founders of the Uzbek translation school, said in his works on translations of idioms and phraseological units: "If they ask me are there miracles in the language, I would answer that the word, its meaning and its usage, as far as it is concerned with idioms and fables. Idioms and proverbs mean the outcome of people's perception, its judgment and old experience, the attitude to the various events in life. The idiom is created in relationships of people’s everyday life. People's proverb is the property of the people. There is no one who does not use idioms and proverb in their life. If we make a mistake, we will justify ourselves and we say that everybody has some drawbacks or mistakes. In Uzbek we may say: “Oyning yuzida ham dog’ bor” it is translated into English like that: “There are spots even on the face of the moon”. When did the people begin to use this phrase? It is difficult to say but it is obvious that man began to use the same term after he was able to think so. As a result of the development of astronomy science, it has been discovered that there are different plains, mountains and other natural materials. These things on the moon seem like a sting. This proverb is used when someone has some mistakes or drawbacks. Translation of phraseological unit is a difficult process. Firstly, you should get the meaning of the idiom. Secondly, one should know how and when to use this idiom. Then one should be able to translate them. Download 29.45 Kb. Do'stlaringiz bilan baham: |
