INTRODUCTION
Language is a means of forming and storing ideas as reflections of reality and exchanging them in the process of human intercourse. Language is social by nature; it is inseparably connected with the people who are its creators and users; it grows and develops together with the development of society.
The First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganievich Karimov speaking about the future of Uzbekistan underlines that “Harmonious generation is the future guarantee of prosperity. It is our task, to prepare and teach professionally competent and energetic personnel, real patriots to see them in the world depository of science and culture. In this plan the national program about training personnel was worked out on the formation of new generation of specialists, with the high common and professionally cultured, creative and social activity, with the ability to orientate in the social and political life independently, capable to raise and solve the problems to the perspective”.
Speaking in English is one of the skills that students have to learn. Therefore, the teacher needs to realize the features of speaking skill. One of the features of speaking ability is pronunciation. “Having a good pronunciation of the language can help communication, particularly the clearness of the pronunciation” Furthermore, Derwing and Munro cited in Nation& Newton stated “Having a good pronunciation of the language can help in communication, particularly intelligibility”. Therefore a good and clear pronunciation will help the students in speaking and avoiding misunderstanding in delivering the message, the conversation between the speaker and listener will be smooth and clear. “Pronunciation is something that students often feel important to students in their language learning. Most of the students desiret their pronunciation to be easily understandable and are often prepared to work difficulties to achieve this. However, pronunciation is something that not necessary in area of study”. Considering pronunciation is one of the aspects in speaking, it is important for the teacher to be aware in teaching the students how to pronounce the words. An appropriate pronunciation will make a conversation understandable. On the opposite side , an incorrect pronunciation makes a conversation lead to incorrect response or hard to understand.To help the students be able to pronounce the words correctly, practices is important. The teacher can apply activities, strategies, and media in teaching the students. Media is one of the alternatives for the teacher in helping the students’ pronunciation. There are many kinds of media which can be used for example TV, DVD, and tape recorder. As the development of technology, the development of media for learning also changes. One of them is computer. Computer is something common for learners nowadays where the teacher teaches the students using laptop or computer. Many activities applied in teaching use technology, such as using internet, online discussion, using soft ware, video e.tc. Based on the development of technology, the researcher conducted the research using a media which was software to help students’ pronunciation.
The subject matter of this course paper is to identify how we can pronounce the words correctly and what kind of pronounciation is correct.
According to this, the actuality of our research work is to understand how to use transcription properly. And at the same time to gain knowledge about correct pronounciation.
The main aim t course paper is to identify linguistics features of words' pronounciation.Furthermore , teaching correct pronounciation through games, activities and etc .
The basic materials which were used while I prepared this work is grammar books and internet sources and articles.
The theoretical value of the paper is seen on the description of the object of the research, on study of research works and analysis of collected materials.
The practical value of the paper is that material and the results of the given research work can serve the material for correct pronounciation and speak fluently and accurately in speaking.
Structurally, course work consists of four parts – Introduction, main part which consists of two chapters, conclusion and the list of used literature and sources.
