Teaching speaking on the topic Traditions of English speaking countries for the intermediate level pupils

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the traditions of English speaking countries are rich and diverse, each with its unique history and significance. These traditions have been passed down from generation to generation, and they continue to shape the cultures of these countries today. From Christmas celebrations and Easter egg hunts to Halloween costumes and Thanksgiving feasts, these traditions bring people together and create a sense of community.
Moreover, these traditions also serve as a way to preserve cultural heritage and promote national identity. They provide a link between the past and present, connecting contemporary societies to their roots. For example, St. Patrick's Day in Ireland is not only a celebration of the patron saint but also an opportunity for Irish people around the world to showcase their culture through parades and festivals.
Additionally, the spread of English language has also influenced other cultures around the world, leading to the adoption of some English-speaking countries' traditions in other nations. Halloween is one such example that has gained popularity worldwide in recent years.
However, while many of these traditions are widely celebrated today, others face challenges in staying relevant or being accepted by newer generations who may not feel as connected to them. For instance, some people may view certain holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas as outdated or insensitive due to their historical context or association with colonialism.
Furthermore, there are concerns about cultural appropriation when it comes to adopting another culture's customs without fully understanding their meaning or respecting their origins.
In conclusion, while the traditions of English-speaking countries play a vital role in shaping their cultures and connecting them to their pasts, it is important to recognize that they are not static entities. As societies evolve and change over time, so do their customs and practices. Therefore, it is crucial for us all to approach these traditions with respect for their origins while also adapting them where necessary for modern times. Ultimately though each tradition holds its importance still today as they continue bringing people together globally regardless of race or nationality.
