11.7.3. Developing Smart Tourism Destinations
The Policy through National Mission on Digital Tourism
and Tourism MSMEs and
other initiatives will work towards creating right conditions for the digital
transformation of the tourism ecosystem for
developing Smart Tourism
Destinations:
(i).
Create regulatory frameworks that encourage innovation and strengthen
SMEs’ capacity development through
accelerators and mentoring
opportunities,
(ii). Encourage uptake and investments in new digital technologies by tourism
businesses, making
them more accessible to SMEs, and supporting
investments in human resources for the management of smart initiatives,
(iii). Encourage digital business model and ecosystems, supporting access to digital
infrastructure,
public-private partnerships
and knowledge sharing
mechanisms,
