BENEFITS OF USING THE TEST GENERATOR 
So first, let’s discuss some of the benefits of using the Test Generator
• The Test Generator facilitates alignment of the tests (or exams) with the Student’s Book
• It has been tested and tried by many teachers
• The Test Generator is easy to use
• Using the Test Generator saves time
• And finally, tests can be reused, edited, and shared
USING THE TEST GENERATOR
We will now discuss how to use the Test Generator for grades 7-11. The Test Generator is an 
application that teachers can download and use to build exams. We will be discussing the 
following: How to create an exam using the Test Generator. And how to check the exam and 
answer key for accuracy.
TIMETABLE
It is important that you look at the Timetable found in the addendum in the Teacher’s Book. Be 
sure to consult the Timetable in the addendum to know which units to select questions from. You 
can see here on the timetable that for Exam 1 you will need to select questions from both Units 1 
and 2. The exam number and Unit numbers are not always the same. For example, for Exam 3 you 
will need to select questions from Unit 5. This is why it’s very important to consult the Timetable 
before creating an exam.
HOW TO CREATE AN EXAM USING THE TEST GENERATOR 
The Test Generator works the same across all grades. For demonstration purposes, we will look 
at the Test Generator for Prepare Level 3, grade 9.
As you can see, I have the Test Generator opened on my internet browser. The Test Generator 
has several options to create exams. We will be focusing on creating Unit Tests, also called 
“Exams” in the addendum. When you click the UNIT TESTS button it will take you to NEW UNIT 
TEST. Let me demonstrate how this can be done.
