SELECTING UNITS 
On the NEW UNIT TEST page, select the UNIT TESTS for the exam that you would like to 
create. For example, for the Prepare Level 3 book for grade 9, you will select Units 1 and 2 for 
Exam 1, as I am demonstrating now. You will also see there are two options: Standard and Plus.

The Standard option is for the general population of students. The Plus option creates a test with 
more advanced questions for students who may need more of a challenge.

After you’ve selected the appropriate units for your exam, click on the SELECT THE QUESTIONS 
button and you will be taken to the page where you can actually select the questions.

WHAT QUESTIONS CAN YOU SELECT? 
On the SELECT THE QUESTIONS page you can select the number of questions under each 
category. For example, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Pronunciation. Keep in mind that the audio for 
the Pronunciation exam items may not be easily accessible. If this is the case, do not select any 
items under Pronunciation.
OPTIONS: MANUAL AND AUTO 
There are two options for creating exams, MANUAL and AUTO. Both options allow you to select 
the number of questions on the exam.
Make sure that you have reviewed the skills and vocabulary 
in class. Also, consider the number of questions and class duration. Ask yourself, “Can students 
complete the test in the given time within one class period? Now let’s explore them separately. 
AUTO
The first option you will see is the AUTO option. As you can see, the AUTO option automatically 
allows you to select the number of test items from each section but does not allow you to 
preview and customize each test item. Let me demonstrate how it is done.
