The variables are related and dependent on one another. The speaker's primary tactic is to achieve the goal of communication. We might seek to enlighten, instruct, persuade, amuse, or advertise. Each time, we make a speech more effective by selecting an intonation that will support our objectives. It essentially chooses the intonation means, which shapes the style (style-forming). Speaker's demeanor Any oral communication conveys a range of attitudes and feelings about the audience, the topic, and other factors. There are as many different tonal styles as there are types of attitudes and feelings. The speaker may be involved, uninterested, amiable, antagonistic, and so forth.
