18 Put learners in groups of three or four. Ask them to
take turns to give instructions to their classmates, who
will play the role of students.
Ask learners to give feedback on their classmates’
instructions. Questions to consider are: Were they easy
to understand? Were they easy to do? Was there any
misunderstanding? Why?

Set this activity as homework.
20 Put learners in small groups and to take turns to give
instructions.
You could make this into a whole-class activity by asking the
rest of the class to observe one learner instruct the others.
Ask learners to provide feedback on each other’s
instructions. First ask the presenter to say what he/she
thinks was/wasn’t achieved. Then allow other learners to
comment on his/her performance. Be the last to give
your feedback.
