Successful  farmer-entrepreneurs  focus  on 
securing profits, but they are also aware of the long-term 
negative effect of unsustainable land use. Appropriate 
land  management  in  turn  ensures  that  profits  are 
maintained over the long-term and the farm business is 
sustainable. A true entrepreneurial spirit should lead to 
natural resource sustainability, because it implies wise 
use of scarce natural and human resources in order to 
stay in business for a long time.
