Annotation: This article deals with the classification, individual groups and specific standards of socio-
psychological stereotypes. Also, it widely covers the theories of foreign psychologists and the researches based on
the study of various patterns and mechanisms of cognition.
Also, it has been confirmed by experimental-trial studies that cognitive styles are reflected not only among
representatives of different nationalities, but also in national gender characteristics.
Keywords: Pedagogical activity, perception, stereotypes with anthropological and social status, empathy, reflection
ethnic group,
cognitive complexity, cognitive style, metacognitive, personal constructs, intentional, cognitive
complexity, mental space, value.
Current globalization processes and advanced researches in the field of Science and technology imposes on
the individuals in social spheres, important tasks associated with the development of an individual in harmony with
the requirements of society and the development of an active cognitive motivation. In such cases, it is of decisive
importance to draw up a scientifically based prospective plan of social development of society and determine its
priorities.
The study of national - ethnic consciousness was often associated with a description of the national character
within the framework of Western psychological traditions and psychological theories of Russian psychologists.
Although, the national character is the most stable phenomenon that provides the cultural-historical diversity of a
nation and the forms of national - ethnic consciousness that pass from generation to generation for a certain period
of time.
According to the information provided by UNESCO, in 1950-1960, the results of more than 1000 studies
devoted to the problems of “national character” and “national stereotypes” were published. Cognitive complexity
and cognitive simplicity play an important role in the problems studied within the framework of the national
characteristics of the individual. The desire to predict individual behavior on the basis of each action carried out in a
specific situation is a manifestation of confrontation of the fact that it is difficult to predict the behavior of a person.
As a matter of fact, it is necessary to understand the internal processes of the structure in order to truly predict the
behavior. In turn, in order to properly evaluate an individual conceptual system, it is necessary to take into account
its degree of differentiation and integration.
Since the 50-60-ies of the XX century, the problem of perceiving and understanding of a person by a person
has become a subject of complex researches in psychology throughout the world. One of the first researches in this
area was conducted by A. A. Bodalev during these years. A lot of materials have been collected in these researches
about various mechanisms and laws of inter-personal cognition - stereotyping, projecting and other characteristics
[4]. Researches devoted to the study psychological laws of inter-personal perception and cognition were conducted
in various fields : the influence of attitudes on perceiving another person (A.A.Badalev, Dj.Bruner, S.I.Kuryachiy
and others); socio-perceptive standards and stereotypes in developing inter-personal perception in humans
(V.N.Kunitsina, N.N.Ershova, N.A.Rojdestvenskaya, V.V.Znakov and others), the importance of empathy in
perceiving others (T.G.Gavrilova), an ethnic perception of people in understanding each other (B.A.Eremeev,
V.S.Ageev, A.P. Okoneshnikova) and other aspects of the study were carried out as well.
B. Botirov in his researches, studied the complexity of a mental space related with values by evaluating it
according to the criteria of Humphrey. In this case, factors with two poles are given– two, one pole - one point [1].
According to the researches, simplicity is observed in Uzbek men regarding the mental space related with terminal
values whilst complexity is attributed to Uzbek women. The fact that the complexity of the mental space for
Instrumental values is manifested in Uzbek males and simplicity in Uzbek females shows how strong gender
differences are in Uzbek mentality. The complexity of the mental space for life purposes demonstrates its
association with national characteristics: the life goals of the Uzbeks are distinguished from those of Russians by
their wide coverage. This case is indicating the Russian style of thinking in “black and white” colors. The

complexity of the mental space associated with the relationships to existential reality further revealed the presence
of mental differences. Relations to existential realities were reflected more widely in Uzbeks.
