Activity 1 Play I spy.
Objective: to warm up;
PP guess the thing you say. The pupil who guesses continues the game, e.g. Teacher: I spy with my little eye something beginning with d.
Pupil 1: Is it a desk? Pupil 2: Is it a door? etc.
Activity 2a Look, listen and repeat.
Objective: to present this and that;
Point and say this desk- that desk. Explain that this is used when we speak about things which are near and that for things which are far. PP repeat after you and point to the things.

Language Notes
Here in this lesson PP learn demonstrative adjectives: this these that those. They are not demonstrative pronouns here because they are not used instead of nouns. They are used to show the things. Compare demonstrative adjectives and demonstrative pronouns:
Dem. adj.: Show me that book. Touch those desks.
Dem. pron.: Can you give me this, please. That is new.
