Annotation
This article focuses on pedagogical psychology and describes its purpose, directions 
and responsibilities. At the same time, it was mentioned about the period in which 
pedagogy and psychology were established and describes the development stage in 
education. Also, the article talks about the relationship between pedagogy and 
psychology and the work being carried out in this field. 
Key words: psychological directions, educational process, pedagogical knowledge, 
pedagogical psychology. 
Pedagogical psychology is a field of psychology that studies the problems of 
education and background. It studies psychological problems of development of the 
individual, cognitive activity and social positive qualities in a person. The objective 
of pedagogical psychology is to strengthen the rational development effect of 
teaching based on conditions and other psychological factors. Pedagogical 
psychology was created in the second half of the 19th century. Researchers of 
experimental psychology made a great contribution to the development of 
educational psychology.
The development of pedagogical psychology as a science was also stimulated 
by the psychological directions that arose at that time. Behaviorist (see Behaviorism) 
direction of psychology takes the influence of the external environment on the 
educator and student as a basis for Pedagogical psychology. Pedagogical psychology 
is inextricably linked with general and child psychology, as well as pedagogy. 
Pedagogical psychology is mainly divided into educational psychology and 
educational psychology. In educational psychology, the role of memory, thinking, 
speech, imagination, will in the educational process, as well as individual
