CUTTING EDGE-SCIENCE
2022 Shawnee, USA October
An aswer to the 8
th
question. After spraining an ankle, the protagonist is left
behind to face the unforgivingness of nature. He must fend for himself, living off of
berries and tiny animal life, crawling across the deserted tundra alone. The man
becomes so weak that he is no longer able to haul all of his gear; he must leave it all
behind, continuing on as a sick wolf starts trailing behind him.
Stage III: Find the examples of nature scenes in "Love of Life" through
practical application.
Two phases of this project were completed: 1) Small groups located instances
of nature sceneries in the English text of the work; 2) while the tiny groups are
presenting their solutions in small form, one member of the group articulated this
text in written form on the blackboard. English language experts who took part in
the event as subject matter experts reviewed the small groups' activities.
The respondents were divided into three groups. The members of each small
group of small groups were given distinct presentations of specific passages from
the work in order to make efficient use of the time and to assure the respondent-
students' communicative participation. Small groups were divided into equal
numbers, and each group received the following text: if there are 10 individuals in
the group, 1.5 pages; if there are 9 members in the group, slightly more than 1.5
pages—1.6 pages.
According to the text "Love of Life," the natural settings are described as
follows (note: the respondents' pupils' participation in the practical task used the
English translation of the piece): Love of life by Jack London
(https://www.gutenberg.org/files/710/710-h/710-h.htm was arranged according
to):1. Near the horizon the sun was smouldering dimly, almost obscured by formless
mists and vapors, which gave an impression of mass and density without outline or
tangibility.
2. It was not a heartening spectacle. Everywhere was soft sky-line. The hills
were all low-lying. There were no trees, no shrubs, no grasses – naught but a
tremendous and terrible desolation that sent fear swiftly dawning into his eyes.
