Introduction. The high proportion of insects in the agrocenoses of cucurbit crops, in turn, 
determines their high entomophagic mass of insects. In arid climates, it is important to determine the 
structure of the fauna of insect entomophages, the taxonomic list, as well as to assess the ecological 
and taxonomic composition. The topical issue of the day is that the species composition, abundance, 
biotopic distribution, reproduction, seasonality and duration have not been studied yet. We carried 
out research between the years of 2020 and 2022 to determine the species composition of 
entomophages in the agrocenoses, natural ecosystems and greenhouses of Bukhara 
Material and methodology. The research was carried out in the fields of greenhouses, farms 
and homesteads in the Bukhara region (Jandor, Romitan, Bukhara, peshku, Gijduvan, shofirkan, 
Karvul bazaar). A specially designed entomological net was used to catch insects. The circumference 
of the net is 25 cm in diameter, and the lower part is 12 cm. Special pouches are tied to the next circle 
of the net, into which insects fall when they swing. At the same time, it hits the top of the plant, so 
that the feeding flying insects on the tops of the plant fall. Insects collected in these bags are laid out 
in 1-liter cans and dipped in a little cotton wool from ether. After 15-20 minutes, we can observe the 
insects one by one. Then they are again put in an order on cotton wool inside specially prepared paper. 
We can store this collected material for a long time and then observe it.
