    Classification of online stores
    There are several classification systems for online stores:
    • by the method of retail sale of goods in the network: Internet-shops; Internet showcases (Web showcases), trading systems; shopping malls; content projects (consumer encyclopedias, Internet ordering systems, etc.);
    • by business model: fully online store and combination of off-line and online business (when an Internet store is created on the basis of an already existing real trading structure);
    • on relations with suppliers: stores with their own warehouse (availability of real commodity stocks); stores operating under contracts with suppliers (lack of significant inventories);
    • according to the degree of automation among the trading systems of electronic stores, there are Internet showcases (Web showcases), Internet stores proper and Internet trading systems (TIS)
    Internet showcase. On the showcase they spread information about the goods, which is constantly updated. This is a combination of a product catalog, a navigation system and ordering, followed by its transfer to a manager for processing. The manager, in turn, contacts the supplier, organizes the delivery of goods to the buyer, controls the process of payment for the goods. In parallel, with the help of an Internet showcase, advertising work is carried out, demand is studied. The cost of creating and administering an online storefront can be quite low, and the practical benefits of such a storefront are obvious. An online showcase is justified in cases where the buyer needs to be introduced to complex products, which will take him too much time to study on the trading floor
    The catalog contains a multi-level logical tree of sections and subsections, inside which there are lists with product cards. The catalog of an online supermarket must be well structured and very logical if we want visitors to find what they really need in such a variety of products. The end point of moving through the catalog should be a product card containing its description, a sign of availability on sale and a price. The list in the catalog is sorted according to whether the product is in stock. Actual products are at the top of the list, withdrawn from sale - at the end. Thus, outdated products, being in the catalog, do not prevent customers from making purchases, but continue to work for this store and bring more and more new customers to the site. A characteristic feature of the online store is the complete automation of the order processing system, thanks to which it is possible to work individually with each registered client.
