In X-XI centuries in Turkestan, as great political, cultural, socio-economic, enlightenment changes took place bright works have been created that developed the science of Turkestan, both artistically and spiritually. Aristotle discovered that in order to rally the citizens into conformity, one needed to persuade people. This is what he called rhetoric, and it's defined as the capacity to persuade people, and he broke it down into three strategies:Ethos,Logos,Pathos
Ethos is used when the source is credible and the speaker can show authority over the subject matter.
Logos is used when there are facts to support the argument requiring that the audience use logic and deduction to decide on the strengths of the speaker's argument.
Pathos is used for emotional appeals to gain audience acceptance.
What are ethos, pathos and logos?
Ethos, pathos and logos are modes of persuasion used to convince and appeal to an audience. You need these qualities for your audience to accept your messages.


Ethos: your credibility and character


Pathos: emotional bond with your listeners


Logos: logical and rational argument



  1. Persuasive Devices: Alliteration, Rule of three, emotive language

Alliteration is a figure of speech in which the same sound repeats in a group of words, such as the “b” sound in: “Bob brought the box of bricks to the basement.” The repeating sound must occur either in the first letter of each word, or in the stressed syllables of those words. Some additional key details about alliteration: 1.Alliteration is the repetition of sounds, not just letters. Alliterative words don’t have to be right next to each other. Other words can appear between them. Alliteration is found often in poetry and prose, as well as in commercial writing like brand names and marketing taglines.A tricolon is another very commonly used persuasive techniques for speeches. However, they are effective at convincing your audience because they leave a strong, lasting impression on your audience. So, a tricolon basically refers to a set of 3 words, phrases or clauses. Remember, 3 is the magic number! For example, let’s see which statement is more memorable: 1. They killed the dog and stole the TV and car. 2. They killed the dog. They stole the TV. They took the car.Emotive language Tap into pathos with powerful, visual language. –Non-emotive –The burger tastes good – Emotive – The burger’s dripping with succulent, meaty juices
