Procedure
Ask the children to choose an animal and think about the things that this
animal does during the day.
Draw a timeline on the board and write some time markers on the
timeline, e.g. 8 am, 10 am, 12 noon. See Box 11.
Ask the children to copy the timeline.
Then ask the children to write in the things that their animal might do
during the day, taking care to write the verb in the past tense. The
completed timelines are then displayed in the classroom.
