On a large sheet of paper, draw the sample advertisement
from Box 17.
Procedure
Ask the children to imagine what would happen if pets were able to
advertise for a suitable owner. What kind of person would the pet want?
What would the pet expect from its owner?
Show the children the sample advertisement from Box 17. Draw their
attention to the use of adjectives in the advertisement.

Now ask the children to imagine they are a pet. Ask them to design their
own advertisement for a pet owner. Pets could be a dog, cat, bird, fish,
rabbit or mouse.
