    Inversions

    • We know that there are some kind a negative adverbs in question forms, sometimes I have seen it in informal speech also.

    • Instances:

    • Not only , but also (normal one :Lusy not only is lazy, but also she is crazy . Inversion form: not onlyis Lusy lazy, but she also is crazy.)

    • No sooner-after this adverb we should always use past perfect as a main verb John had no sooner worked , that the ….. bell rang

    Another rules of inversion

    • Seldom it is synonym of rarely, but there is some difference in terms of percent between them

    • I seldom travel in countries

    • Seldom do I travel….

    • You can see in english some verbs which you have to do inversion after these verbs in informal speech to exclamate

    We can start the sentence with a few expressions and adverbs , after it we must put the verb before the subject
    Examples:

    • Alex comes here.

    Special rules for inversion

    • Here comes Alex!

    • Up went the helicopter in the sky!

    • There goes my papers!

    • Along the street came John

    • But all of them is informal and of course you can use them only I informal speech , way

    • Live , stand

    You can start your own speech with an adverb of place. this is a formal usage.
