S + wish + (somebody) to do

wish = want / would like: бу ерда

S + wish + for something

амалга ошиш умиди жуда кам булган хохишни ифодалайди
How we wished for a drink! (We had very little hope of getting one.)

Akmal wishes for a better job. (He has little chance of finding a better job.)

We chiefly wished for a chance to explain the situation. (We were unlikely to get the chance.)

Куйидаги курилмаларнинг барчасида wish нореал иш харакатларни ифодалайди. Яъни содир булмайдиган / булмаган иш харакатлар учун афсусланишни билдиради.

UTURE:

Azizbek wishes his brother would wear a coat. (Azizbek is sorry his brother won’t wear a coat.)

We wish you could finish the work by the deadline. (We are sorry you can’t finish it by the deadline.)

- Why doesn’t Avazhon go to the exhibition with us?

- He’s very busy. He wishes he could go.

I wish they were not working on Saturday. (But they are working and I am sorry they are working.)
We wish he were meeting us at the station. (But he is not meeting us at the station when we arrive.)
