For individuals, the significance of practicing arts is clear to see. Artistic skills often satisfy people's need to express their positive and negative feelings. For example, a person who is angry with others can simply channel their anger into a painting by drawing it in darker colours, whereas keeping this feeling in usually builds up resentment. More importantly, some creativity has become a prerequisite to getting a foot on a career ladder. In other words, as all arts foster this ability, engaging in some of them may help people secure a dream job with a high salary. Thus, it could be said arts play an essential part in people’s lives.






Society also benefits from the arts in many ways. In modern societies, where separatism is common, we need a force that can bring everyone together. Few activities can rival music and other arts in this regard as it appeals to people regardless of their gender, race or age. Arts also play an even more important part in preserving local traditions. In other words, music allows nations to pass down their customs and rituals from generation to generation. Had it not been for these arts, societies would have long forgotten their values.
