Abstract: The paper assesses the degree of dependence between innovation processes 
and changes in the labor market in the form of dynamics in the sphere of employment. The 
rapid development of the service sector and its excessive share in the gross national product is 
a consequence of digital economy implementation. The economic and social role of this 
phenomenon, as well as the transformations that global labor markets are undergoing under 
the influence of innovation, is assessed.
