1. Introduction
The most important type of technological railway radio communication networks are train radio communication networks (TRC). Their purpose is the exchange of information between the participants of the transportation process from any point of the railway section at any time with a given quality and with an expectation of no more than a given time. TRC networks are linear radio networks that are built on a radio wire principle. From the command station (CS) of the train dispatcher (TD) to the stationary radio station (SRS) of the train station attendant (TSA), the signal is transmitted via a wired channel, and from the stationary radio station to the portable radio station (PRS) - via the radio channel. The simplest version of such a network is a linear network using a separate wired communication channel (Figure 1). Linear TRC network using a dedicated wired communication channel A more modern version of building a train radio communication network is a radio communication network using a data transmission network, in which the connection of individual elements is carried out via the Ethernet protocol without allocating a separate wired communication channel (Figure 2). Figure 2. Linear TRC network using a data transmission network for organizing a linear channel The TRC network is a complex technical system, one of the most important characteristics of which is its reliability. In turn, TRC is an element of the train traffic control system, therefore, both the timeliness of the arrival of trains and the safety of the entire transportation process depend on its reliability [1, 2]. In connection with the above, as well as due to the lack of generally accepted and approved approaches to assessing the reliability of technological radio communication networks, it becomes necessary to develop such approaches, taking into account the specifics of the organization of radio communication in railway transport. It should be noted that modern and promising communication technologies [3-7] provide much broader opportunities for the transmission of speech and data than those used today in train radio networks. However, the transition to new technologies will take place for a long time, and the options for organizing train radio communication networks considered in the article will be in high demand for a long time.
