3.3 Teacher Questionnaire
Out of 40 primary and secondary teachers, who were addressed to fill in the questionnaire, thirty seven teachers returned it (seventy-four per cent of all questionnaires). For the survey analysis only the completed questionnaires were taken into consideration.
The number of years of teaching experience is another criterion. The largest group is the group of teachers who teach more than ten and less than fifteen years. Two groups: teachers with less than five-year experience and teachers with more than twenty-year experience occupy second position.

Next criterion is the place of work. Some respondents did not specify the place of work. In the graph they are represented as “unknown”. The survey was conducted mainly but not exclusively in Gulistan city of Sirdarya region, the place where the author comes from.

The survey findings seem to support the first hypoqualification work that the majority of teachers use games during English lessons.

Graph 5 Do you use games in English lessons?
The research revealed that an overwhelming majority of teachers use games; however, the aspect that should not be overlooked is how often they incorporate them into their teaching. There was only one respondent who believed games are not used in English lessons at all. Thirty-two per cent of teachers admitted that they introduced games in their teaching every lesson.

Graph 6 How often do you use games?
The second hypoqualification work predicted that the majority of teachers would use games as the time-filling activity at the end of the lesson and only twenty five per cent of them would use games in the core part of the lesson.

Graph 7 In which part of the lesson do you use games?
The fourth question focuses on the use of games in different grades. The teachers were asked to fill in the grades they teach and indicate how often they use games with learners in these particular grades. The vast majority of respondents teach from the fourth to the ninth grade. The results are shown in the table 11.
