Linguistics as a science of language and its relationship with other sciences

A relatively new field of linguistics, psycholinguistics, studies the relationship between linguistics and psychology (the science that studies the laws of human mental processes). Linguistics is closely related to history and pedagogy. History greatly helps linguistics in learning the history of words and vocabulary of the language.
