INTRODUCTION
Actuality and the relevance of the theme. The integration of Uzbekistan
into the world community, the rapid growth of international economic, political
and cultural ties presupposes a radical restructuring in the study and teaching of
foreign languages. In depth knowledge of a foreign language means not only
practical knowledge of the language, but also the study of its theoretical
foundations. At the turn of the century has changed the socio-cultural context of
learning foreign languages in Uzbekistan.
The dissertation research is designed to contribute to the solution of the
provided tasks to ensure the quality of education in the Decrees of the President of
the Republic of Uzbekistan № UP-60 “On the development strategy of New
Uzbekistan for 2022-2026” dated January 28, 2022 [1], № UP-5647 dated
October 8, 2019 “On approval of the concept of development of higher education
system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030” [2], Resolutions of the President
of Uzbekistan № PP-3775 of June 5, 2018 “On additional measures to improve the
quality of education in higher education institutions and ensure their active
participation in the large-scale reforms carried out in the country” [3], № PP-5117
of May 19, 2021 “On measures to bring activities in popularizing of foreign
languages in the Republic of Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level” [4] and other
regulations related to this topic.
Correspondence of the investigation with priority directions of development of
science and technology of the Republic. The dissertation is carried out in
accordance with the priority directions of science and technology of the Republic
“The ways of formation and realization the system of innovative ideas in social,
legal, economical, cultural, spiritual-moral directions of informative society and
democratic government”.
The objective of this research is to demonstrate how the use of the
linguopragmatic approach can influence students’ involvement to improve better
linguistic skills. The modern linguistics is based on the principle of anthropocentric

paradigm, which contains "human factor" in the study of language. The
anthropocentric scientific paradigm puts forward the new approaches to the
research of language which are implemented within a number of new disciplines,
such as cognitive linguistics, linguopersonology, linguoculturology, text
linguistics, linguopragmatics, communicative linguistics, etc
The linguopragmatic analysis is based on lexica-grammatical and
linguostylistic ones, and it appears to be their logical continuation in respect of
linguopragmatic interpretation of the received data. It is aimed at revealing verbal
signals of formation of the pragmatic meanings and their substantial and functional
interpretation, defining the pragmatic effect of speech communication. Proceeding
from the notion of communicative-pragmatic situation, the pragmatic analysis is
made in the following parameters: subject and aim of communication, social,
psychological and individual characteristics, role and personal relations.
Pragmalinguistics includes a wide range of issues, yet the most appropriate of them
for linguistics are: speech strategies and speech impact; pragmatic intentions and
their types; appropriateness and effectiveness of textual communication.
The notion of linguopragmatic approach can be regarded as topical and
complicated issue in the interaction of new trends of anthropocentric paradigm.
The practical linguistic material has demonstrated that there are few works devoted
to the investigation of linguopragmatic approach to text analysis. Thus, the
topicality of the research is conditioned by the followings: 1) the research is done
in the framework of Linguopragmatics; 2) not enough of researches devoted to
the linguopragmatic approaches to literary text analysis comparatively in
English and Karakalpak languages. Modern linguistics does not treat language as
an autonomous object of study, but takes an integrated approach to considering the
way various factors affect the functioning of different linguistic phenomena within
a discourse. Discourse analysis addresses spoken and written texts with regard to a
situational context, cultural and historical background, ideological, social and
psychological factors, as well as communicative, pragmatic and cognitive aims of
the author, which in its turn determines the choice of language units. Literary

discourse is an interaction between the author and the reader designed to generate
emotional response. It relies on cultural, aesthetic and social values, background
knowledge and worldview, beliefs, assumptions and feelings, and uses stylistic
devices to produce the desired effect. This study gives evidence of the complex use
of cognitive and pragmatic aspects in the analysis of stylistic devices in literary
discourse. This approach makes it possible to analyse linguistic factors traditionally
represented in linguo-stylistics, and consider extralinguistic parameters in order to
better understand the way stylistic devices operate in the given type of discourse.
