The role of metaphor in the expression of the 
national psyche

Abstract
This article examines the scope of application of the metaphor in 
the artistic text, which is considered the most productive of the tools of 
language. It is clearly visible in poetry that the ideas of nationalism and 
self-realization are widely described and that it is a language tool of special 
importance in the expression of meaning belongs to the free Vohidov pen. 
In the examples of creativity created in the еars of independence of Erkin 
Vohidov, the spirit of love for the revival of national values, love for the re-
alization of self is captured. The article analyzes the role of the metaphors 
found in adib’s poems in the image of the national psyche. The metaphors 
found in free Vohidov poems are separated and grouped according to the 
meaning ottenka.
