The problem of classifying phrases according
to etymological basis and the factors of their
formation
Munisa Abduazizova
1
Abstract
It is difficult to come to a clear conclusion about the etymology
of phraseological units and the motives of their formation. Some phras-
es are formed by embodying the pure cultural values of a certain people,
while some are formed through religious or social factors. Phrases carry
the oldest historical features of the nation as a cultural core to the next
generation. In the article, the motivations of the linguo-cultural formation
of expressions with such cultural elements are analyzed. Somatic expres-
sions and their etymology were grouped and studied in order to come to a
certain opinion.
Key words: phraseologisms, phraseological combinations, etymolo-
gy, semantics, linguocultural science, somatism, linguological-cultural sema,
linguistic consciousness, phraseological synonymy.
