Verification of Findings :
A linguist needs to verify his conclusions before making them known
to public. Verification comes after second cycle of data collection. However,
for verification the linguist need not be as rigorous in his data collection as he
was initially. Sometimes facts can be verified just by observations.
Verification is an essential stage in linguistic analysis
as it is in a scientific
research. Once verified, the linguist presents his
findings in a systematic
way. These findings become guiding principles or rules.
