Self Reflection Report On Microteaching

What I wanted to achieve
I wanted to teach the students how to ponder over a particular problem and find out its causes
and effects on the society and society people. My main objective was to teach them how to
write Causes and Effects Essays.
What I thought was successful
After the class our supervisor commented that it was one of the successful classes. So I think all
the activities done in the class were successful and logically sequenced and well organized.
Students enjoyed the activities and responded very spontaneously and correctly. This was
evident that the class was successful.
What I feel was not so successful and how I would alter it when teaching similar things
After entering the class, the supervisor advised us to conduct the class without any material and
lesson plan. It was a bolt from the blue to me. I took decision and set time, activities/tasks and
techniques instantly in the class. After the class my group members and supervisor commented
that it was a successful class being much more lively, effective and participatory than the
previous ones. From this class I learnt how to take decision and conduct a class instantly
involving students actively in the class. And I followed the techniques in my next sessions.
