Sport as a spectacle and a way of organizing leisure time

The spectacle of sports is very high, because it attracts with its brightness, unpredictability and intrigue. The spirit of wrestling, the demonstration of the highest sports equipment, beauty and plasticity, the expectation of the result of the outcome of the competition are of interest to millions of fans.

Sport as a school of education of moral and psychological qualities

In the process of playing sports, numerous connections arise between people, which are manifested in the transfer of knowledge, experience, and skills. Sport is organically included in a holistic well-functioning social and pedagogical system, it is one of the most effective factors in the education of the individual, especially in childhood and adolescence. With the development of a new type of activity, which is sports, the circle of participants in the pedagogical process is significantly expanding. Sports specialists transfer relevant knowledge and skills to their pupils, thereby forming the personality of an athlete.

Sport of the highest achievements forms such important qualities as honesty, a sense of duty, respect for the opponent, pride in belonging to a particular team, and others. So, in some sports, such as tennis, there are unspoken codes of honor for an athlete. And such a seemingly aggressive sport as professional boxing contributes to the development of certain moral qualities in athletes. In an interview with the undisputed world champion in all boxing versions, Konstantin Dzyu (.), this is stated as follows. To the question of the correspondent of the weekly "Arguments and Facts": "Who do you see in the ring, the enemy or the rival?", He replied: "I see only the opponent, because I know what pain is, I went through it."2003 г

Inference

Sport plays an extremely important role in all spheres of human life and activity. In addition to the above functions, sport is of great agitation value, contributes to the involvement of physical exercises. The first Olympic Games of modern times were held in Athens on April 5-15. About the 1896 гfounder of the Olympic movement, the Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin said: "In order for a hundred people to be engaged in physical culture, it is necessary that fifty people are engaged in sports, in order for fifty people to go in for sports, it is necessary that twenty people specialize in a certain sport, and for this it is necessary that five people show outstanding sports Results".

There was an interesting event in the history of national sports - the triumphant demonstration performances of our gymnasts in 1973 in the United States. The strongest gymnasts of our country (L. Turishcheva, O. Korbut, T. Lazakovich, L. Bogdanova, A. Koshel, etc.) At that time, they performed in the eight largest cities, and everywhere the stands of the best sports halls, accommodating, as a rule, more than 12 thousand spectators, were filled to capacity. The American organizers themselves were surprised at this success. They were surprised at how they managed to shake the inert couch potatoes, who usually prefer to eat lunch, watch a movie without getting out of the car, and finally watch performances on television. Tickets, however, Lacked. "Olga Korbut's clubs" began to be organized in the country , in stores that did not imply such demand, all gymnastic equipment and equipment were sold out. The leaders of the U.S. Federation were not mistaken when they expected to raise interest among young people in this sport, which is not popular in America. The success of our gymnasts was so great that the mayor of Chicago, dissatisfied with the fact that the performance in this city was not planned in advance, called A.N. Kosygin (who was at that time Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR) in Moscow and arranged to speak in this city.
